Renee, I ran into a dead end after looking at all the census data. I did notice someone on ancestry.com had Maberry as a son of Hyatt Hitt, but I was unable to verify anything about Hyatt Hitt. Have you seen that ancestry.com tree?

Hi, Richard, I see it has been almost a year since we have "talked"---how funny is that? Well, anyway, I was checking to see if you had come across anything new about Maberry Hitt. Or can you suggest any sites or strategies I should use next? I haven't found anything new.
Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well, probably not. It may just stand for "vbox shared filesystem".

Renee, I haven't come with anything useful on Mayberry Hitt. I just kept running into dead ends. I couldn't figure out whose family he came from based on the SC census data from that period.

Hi, Richard, I came across your blog in which you had researched the families of SC who had sons Maberry's age. I was wondering if you have found any more info on Maberry. I have not. Thanks for any info.

Theresa,

Thanks for the correction. I forgot that we left Lee's last name blank, so I fixed that. I still think about Lee's play from our recent trip. It will probably turn out to be one of my lasting memories from our recent visit to Yosemite, just like the play I saw in 1985 was.

Lee Stetson. He does a great job - and Lee knows John Muir's writings so well that a huge percentage of Lee's plays are direct quotes. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Yosemite.

We took those tours climbing up and down the ladders many ago. In 2004, we were surprised to see the fire damage
